"The toilet was blocked, so I sent an email at night. A lady from the office rang at 8am the next morning and the plumber arrived at about midday. He was very efficient and worked very quickly. He explained that the pipe had be blocked by tree roots and cleared it out. I was very impressed with his pleasant manner and the way he went about his task. Over Christmas I discovered I had a boundary trap and what it was for. Why, because it completely failed.
Through a referral from Yarra Valley water I made contact with The Drain Man.
My boundary trap problem was very dramatic, with the potential for a complete demolition of my back yard and shed, not to mention having no "facilities" over Christmas and possibly weeks beyond, due to the holiday season.

Yesterday the 1st of December 2010 in the late afternoon Ringwood was hit with torrential rain and our house drainage system has difficulty coping with the downpour. The rain was so severe that both my wife and I were having to aggressively broom water for 2 hours from around the dining room door, our a la carte area and back door. The water level was rising so rapidly that if we took just a moment off to rest the water would rise so that it was threatening to burst through the door ways.
We tried phoning several plumbers in the area to no avail as all the phone numbers we tried were either engaged or not answering, clearly others were in the same predicament as us. In desperation Corinne tried "The Drain Man" as he appeared to be local and within 10 minutes a tall young chap by the name of Ben pulled his truck, armed with all the state of the art equipment, into our driveway.
Ben had a quick look around at the problem and within minutes had a high tech pressure hose up the storm water outlet in the street and cleared the blockage almost instantly. The water subsided almost immediately and the crisis was over.
We are both so impressed with the Drain Man's quick response, technical know how and delightful staff we would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody with a similar problem. You are a legend Ben and thank you so much.

On the 24-02-2011 we had need of the services of ‘’the drain man” We booked for a 7-30am start and the plumber actually started on time. He introduced himself as James (a common courtesy that is rare) and from that point conducted himself in a very professional manner, emphasising the dangers of the high pressure water jet and the requirement that I keep my distance, He placed witches hats around the work area leaving no doubt that that the "enclosure was Off Limits to Every body”. All in all he impressed me with his easy to understand language (layman's terms) good communication skills, diligence and an honest approach to the job in hand. As a retired business owner in the engineering and toolmaking trades, we have experienced our share of incompetent staff. James displayed competence and all the traits of that”special person”that I would have no hesitation to employ. Further to this I would go out of my way to keep this guy happy and well paid. As your business and ours is/was only as good as your staff.
