Why we always look before we clear
No plumber has X ray vision. Without a camera, they can only guess what’s blocking your drain. That’s why we put a camera down the drain first on every job, even when the cause looks obvious.
Some plumbers just punch a small hole through the roots. The water flows again, but the roots grow back within weeks. Then you pay for the same job again and again. This trick is called a punch and run.
We show you the footage before we clear the drain, then again after. So you can see it’s fully clear.
Questions from eastern suburbs customers
What are the early warning signs of a blocked drain?
Inside, watch for slow sinks, showers and baths, a toilet that drains away slowly, gurgling, or a bad smell. Outside, look for pools of water in the garden or driveway, overflowing gutters or leaking downpipes.
I’m buying a house. Should I get the sewer checked?

Can you clear tree roots without harming my tree?
Yes. You don’t need to remove trees from your yard. We cut the roots out of the pipe with a jetter, then reline it so they can’t get back in.
Clearing blocked drains
A blocked drain is a pain. It can also cause health problems and damage your home. Most blockages happen in one of two drains: the sewer or the stormwater.
- It’s a sewer problem if it affects things inside your home, like toilets, sinks, basins, baths or showers.
- It’s a stormwater problem if it shows up most in heavy rain. Think blocked downpipes, pits and overflowing grates. Tree roots growing into the pipe are the usual cause.

We get the background
When you book, we ask about the blockage so your Drain Man is informed. Onsite, your Drain Man will confirm the details of the job and then get straight to work.
We look with a camera, then clear it
An in-drain camera finds where the blockage is. A high pressure water jet or a drain clearing machine clears it. Then we run the camera again, and you get the before and after footage.
We fix the cause
Your Drain Man shows you how to avoid more blockages. If the pipe needs it, you get a repair plan for a permanent fix.
Drain relining
Got a broken, collapsed, blocked or root filled drain? We clear the blockage without making things worse.
Our no dig drain relining uses trenchless technology. So you don’t pay to dig up and replace driveways, paths, patios or gardens. Every relined drain carries a lifetime warranty.
We use CCTV cameras to find the cause and high pressure water jets to clean the drain before we reline it. We film every job, so you see exactly what we see.
We can reline a whole sewer or stormwater drain, or just patch a short section. You end up with a stronger drain that flows better. Relined drains keep tree roots out, don’t leak, are stronger than the old pipe and are guaranteed for life.
